Southwest Development Region (Sud-Vest)
Includes Dolj County, Gorj County, Mehedinti County, Olt County, Valcea County,and the cities of Craiova, Targu Jiu, Slatina, Drobeta-Turnu Severin and Ramnicu Valcea.

West Romania Development Region (Vest)
Includes Arad County, Caras-Severin County, Hunedoara County, Timis County, and the cities of Arad, Deva, Resita, and Timisoara.
