Banat Historic Region
Historic region on the west side of Romania. Includes the cities of Resita and Timisoara. The Banat region of Romania is bordered by Serbia in the southwest, Hungary in the northwest, the historic region of Crisana in the north, the historic region of Transylvania in the east, and the historic region of Oltenia in the southeast.

Bucovina Historic Region
Historic region on the north side of Romania. Includes the city of Suceava. The Bucovina region is bordered by Ukraine in the north, the historic distrit of Maramures in the west, the historic district of Transylvania in the south, and the historic district of Moldova in the east.

Crisana Historic Region
Historic region on the west side of Romania. Includes the cities of Arad and Oradea.

Dobroge Historic Region
Historic region on the Black Sea coast of Romania. Includes the cities of Constanta and Tulcea. The Dobrogea region of Romania is bordered by Bulgaria in the south, Ukraine in the north, the Black Sea in the east, the historic region of Moldova in the northwest, and the historic region of Walachia in the west.
